People often compromise with their height thinking that it has come from their genetics. It is true, unless you don’t know the techniques to push yourself and grow taller. Usually if their parents or grand parents are taller, they also grow taller. But it doesn’t mean that there are no other options to grow. And if these techniques are applied during their growing period, they can grow taller than their expectations . These techniques can even be applied after certain age as well. But, the only thing is you can’t expect that much height as that of during your teenage period.
So before proceeding further lets understand what are things to avoid during your teenage:
1. Do not lift heavy weights during the teenage period such as water container, heavy weight bags. It doesn’t allow the spine to stretch itself and it starts contracting.
2. Be aware of your sitting postures, always sit on the chair with your back straight.
3. Do not climb upstairs wearing heavy bags.
4. Do not go for gym to lift heavy weight barbells or dumbbells during the teenage period.
5. Do not sit idle, you need to be active.
Now, lets understand the things we need to focus on during the teenage period:
1. Try to be active, don’t sit idle.
2. Keep jumping at least for 5 to 10 minutes a day.
3. Do skipping for 10 to 15 minutes a day.
4. Jump and hold the pull up bar and start swinging, do this for 5 minutes daily. It stretches your spinal cord.
5. Try doing pull ups, holding the bar and squeezing it till you touch you chin to the bar, repeat this exercise for 3 times with a count of 15, 12 and 10.
6. Now lie down on your tummy and place you palms on the floor , your hands should be close to your body and then try lifting your upper torso slowly till you feel the stretch.
7. Do a doggy stretch everyday for couple of times, this has major advantage.
8. Stand tall, raise your hands up and now try to bend forward towards the floor keeping your knee straight, make sure that you exhale while bending and inhale while lifting up. This should be repeated for around 10 times.
9. Stand tall ,raise your hands and start bending backwards till your hands reach the floor, make sure that you take care of yourself during this exercise. It need support to balance yourself while performing this exercise for the first time.
10. Now, last but not the least , sit on the floor keeping your legs straight, try to bend your upper torso forward, so that you touch your nose to your knee and make sure you do not bend your knee while performing this exercise.
11. Stand tall, keeping your legs wide apart , and try bending towards the right , raising your left hand up and dropping your right hand down so that it gives a proper stretch to your side abs. Repeat this in the other direction as well.
